For celebrations that deserve more than a playlist...
Music is more than something you hear. It is the thread that weaves moments together — the stillness before vows, the laughter that spills into sunlight, the rhythm that gathers strangers into a shared dance.
From harp beneath ancient beams to piano drifting through candlelight, each note is played with care, presence, and the understanding that music lives not on the stage, but in the space between people.
Your celebration deserves more than a playlist. It deserves music that arrives like a blessing, holds the room in its hands, and lingers long after the final chord fades.
Four Movements of Celebration
Prelude - The Clarsach (harp)
The first note is not played. It arrives. The harp holds stillness with grace — tuning the space before vows are spoken, before eyes meet, before hearts settle. Played softly as guests arrive, it becomes both blessing and backdrop. Traditional, folkloric, and improvisational — an intuitive weaving of presence and place.
Intermezzo - Concertina & Guitar
When the ceremony softens into celebration. A melodic duo — upbeat yet never overpowering — perfect for post-ceremony mingling, champagne toasts, and laughter spilling into sunlight. The sound calls back to the 1920s–1950s: trad jazz, swing, bop — foot-tapping joy with subtle sophistication.
Underscore - Solo Piano
Where conversation begins, and music lives between the words. This set drifts gracefully beneath a wedding breakfast or elegant dinner — blending jazz motifs and light groove to hold the room without leading it. Distinguished. Refined.
Rebellion — Ceilidh Band
No spectators — only dancers. This is where the floor comes alive. A ceilidh welcomes everyone — even those who think they can’t dance. Joyful, inclusive, a meeting place for generations. Sophistication here lies in the shared rhythm and cultural resonance — not polish, but presence.
A brief introduction...
From the edge of the wild into the heart of celebration.
I live between worlds. Some days, we play in magnificent halls. Others, I am alone on the fell at dawn, wind rising, feet in the clouds, finding their way through heather and stone.
I’ve built a life that makes space for music as a living thing — one that stills the air, holds people in presence, and reminds us that we belong to each other.
I don’t offer background music. I offer music that moves with the day — blessing a space, guiding a moment, gathering people together.
Listen/Listen (coming soon)
Not just heard, felt. -- Some things are better understood with the ears than the eyes. Here is a glimpse of what I offer — not as performance, but as presence. Each piece recorded live or in stillness, never polished, only felt.
Use good headphones. Breathe deeply. Begin listening.
